Your data

Privacy policy

Effective October 1, 2026

Your running data stays on your device. The public GetFaster app does not send your training history or bodyweight to us, an AI provider, or an analytics service. If you contact support on this website, the information you submit is sent to us through Netlify.

Who is responsible

GetFaster is developed by Łukasz Sopoćko. This policy covers the public GetFaster iPhone app and this website at getfasterapp.com. For privacy questions or requests, use the support form. The separate tools.getfasterapp.com service is outside the scope of this app policy.

Information used in the app

Depending on the features you choose, GetFaster stores your runner profile, goals, availability, training plans, completed runs, workout details, check-ins, and feedback. If you use the bodyweight features, it also stores your entries, height, and related settings. Activity-file imports can include details such as timestamps, distances, durations, heart rate, and laps when present in the file.

This information is processed locally to display your history and prepare and adjust your training plan. The public app does not require a cloud account. Cloud AI generation and ChatGPT sign-in are unavailable in the public release. GetFaster does not include app analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs and does not sell personal or Health data.

Apple Health is optional and read-only

You choose whether to connect Apple Health. Running import requests access to workouts and walking/running distance. Bodyweight import separately requests access to body mass; connecting running workouts does not enable bodyweight access.

GetFaster only reads the Health categories you allow. It does not write, modify, or delete Apple Health records. Imported records are stored locally and used for the features described above. Health data is not used for advertising, marketing, or data mining.

You can stop future imports in Settings → Data & connections. Existing imported history stays until you remove it. You can revoke system permission in Apple Health under your profile → Apps → GetFaster. A denied permission may appear to GetFaster as an empty history.

Storage, exports, and recovery

The app stores data in its local app container using iOS file protection and excludes its own data and recovery copies from automatic device backups. A previous local save may be kept to recover from an interrupted or unreadable save. We cannot access or restore these records from a server.

You can choose Export my backup in Data & connections. The exported JSON file contains your app data, including bodyweight when present, and is not encrypted by GetFaster. Choose its destination carefully. Saving it to iCloud Drive or another cloud provider, or sharing it, sends that file to the destination you select. That provider’s terms and privacy practices apply. There is no automatic app-data upload.

Restoring a backup replaces current app data after your confirmation and turns Health imports off until you choose to reconnect. Keep an export somewhere private if you want a backup before changing devices or deleting the app.

Deleting data

Delete all GetFaster data in Data & connections removes the app’s local history, profile, plans, bodyweight, recovery copies, and saved connection credentials. It does not delete Apple Health records or files you exported elsewhere. Manage those in Health or at their export destination.

When you remove an individual run, GetFaster keeps a small local matching record to stop that run from silently returning during a later import. You can clear these records using Allow removed runs to be imported again, or remove them with Delete all GetFaster data.

App data is retained on your device until you remove it. Local recovery records follow the same deletion controls. If deletion cannot finish, the app reports the error so you can retry.

This website and support messages

This website is hosted by Netlify. Serving a page and protecting the service involves technical request data, such as your IP address and browser request information. We do not add analytics scripts, advertising cookies, or third-party fonts.

If you use the support form, we receive your email address, optional name, message, and submission metadata through Netlify Forms. We use these to respond to your request, resolve problems, and prevent abuse. Providing this information is voluntary; an email address and message are needed if you want us to respond. Please do not include Health records, exported backups, passwords, or other sensitive information. The form has no file-upload field.

Support information is available to the developer and to Netlify as the hosting and form-processing provider. It is kept while needed to handle your request and related follow-up, or to meet legal obligations, and can be deleted on request subject to those obligations. It is not used for marketing. Netlify may process information outside your country, including in the United States. See Netlify’s privacy statement and data processing agreement for its practices and transfer safeguards.

Your choices and rights

You can view, correct, export, or delete app data on your device. We cannot retrieve it remotely. Where data-protection law applies, you may also request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of the support information we hold, and may object to relevant processing. Use the support form and identify the email address used in your original request without sending sensitive app data.

For website support and service security, we rely on our legitimate interests in answering requests and operating a secure website; we also comply with applicable legal obligations. You may raise concerns with your local data-protection authority, including the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Changes to this policy

Changes will be published here with an updated effective date. If a future public release introduces cloud processing, it will need an updated explanation and appropriate choices before that processing occurs.
